Project ADOPT

Arizona Donates Office Products for Teleworking

Several businesses donate used computers to a non-profit corporation called STRUT (STudents Recycling Used Technology).  STRUT uses the computers to teach students valuable technology skills and then provides quality refurbished computers to schools and non-profits around the state.

State of Arizona employees who could telework a day or more each week, but currently lack a home computer, may be eligible to adopt a computer from STRUT.  In this way, each computer adopted by State employees to telework will benefit the community by reducing traffic and air pollution.

Who may apply:

  1. Any State employee who could work from home at least a day a week may apply to adopt a computer from Project ADOPT provided:

    • they do not currently have a computer at home, and

    • they can not borrow a computer from work, and

    • their supervisor will allow them to telework provided they have a home computer.

  2. If you meet these conditions, complete the ADOPT application and return it by fax at 602 542-3636.  An independent team will review your application and respond concerning equipment availability.

There you have it!   Offer only good while supplies last.
